Pan-Fried Turkey Sage Scotch Eggs



Ingredients:
12 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
i 3/4 lb mass turkey sage sausage
two eggs, beaten
i loving cup matzo meal

canola oil

Directions:
Place the beaten egg inwards a shallow dish. Place the matzo repast inwards a split upward dish. Set aside. Heat i inch inwards a skillet.

Separate the sausage into 12 equal portions. Form each into a 1/4 inch thick patty. Place the egg inwards the oculus of each sausage. Wrap the sausage completely approximately the egg. Dip inwards beaten egg hence dredge inwards crumbs. Fry the eggs inwards batches, turning frequently, until browned on all sides.





Drain on newspaper towel-lined plates.



My thoughts:
I dearest the persuasion of Scotch eggs but when prepared traditionally, they are a fighting heavy. So when I saw turkey sausage at the store, I know I had to endeavour a "lighter" version. Rather than deep frying, I fried them inwards a shallow fighting of oil. It was a fighting to a greater extent than hands-on than only dropping them into a vat of crude oil because I had to plough them oft but it wasn't to a greater extent than difficult. The result? Flavorful, less heavy Scotch eggs!
