Peanut Butter Pudding

I set out to "invent" a dandy too unique "kid pudding". I collected all of the pudding recipes from my recipe box too started combining too tweaking them .... I wanted the richness from this ane ...the consistency from that ane ...the sweetness from yet only about other one... too went to operate alongside my picky-picky husband as my Guinea pig gustatory modality tester. After several tries, sometime picky-picky gave me that "pudding aspect upward smile" too 2 thumbs up.  He says THIS ane is a keeper!!

Whether you lot desire plainly peanut butter pudding, or peanut butter pudding with bananas, or fifty-fifty peanut butter pudding with chocolate, it's all good.  


This pudding is rich, creamy, peanut butter-y 
and oh too then piece of cake to make!!

2/3 cup black brownish saccharide
2 marker tablespoons of corn starch
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cups whole milk (I've used 2% inward a pinch)
1/2 loving cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 loving cup creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a saucepan that has a heavy bottom, whisk together the brownish sugar, corn starch too salt. This measuring helps the cornstarch from clumping-lumping when you lot add together the liquid.

After the sugar, cornstarch too common salt are whisked together, slow add together the milk too cream. Stir to brand certain everything is mixed well.

Bring to a boil, over medium high heat, stirring constantly. When this mixture gets squeamish too thick, add together the peanut butter too whisk until it is totally melted too pudding only starts to boil again, (takes nigh xxx to a greater extent than seconds). Remove from estrus too add together vanilla extract, mix well.

Note: If you lot desire a SILKY SMOOTH oral cavity feel, set this pudding through a strainer afterwards it's done too all the same hot.  This isn't necessary, but it REALLY makes a wonderful difference.


Pour into a pretty serving dish (or private dishes) too lay plastic roll direct on occur of the hot pudding (make certain the plastic is truly touching the pudding) too then a "skin" doesn't cast on the pudding equally it cools.  Chill for 2-3 hours or overnight.
