Stayman-Winesap Apple Tree Butter
Ingredients:
10 Stayman Winesap apples, sliced
1 loving cup apple tree cider
3/4 loving cup nighttime brownish sugar
1 stick cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon freshly dry reason nutmeg
Directions:
Place all ingredients inwards a 4 quart deadening cooker. Cook on depression for 10-12 hours. Vent past times placing the lid on askew together with gear upwardly on depression for an additional 10-12 hours or until most of the liquid has evaporated. Remove the cinnamon stick together with then pour the mixture into the nutrient processor together with puree. Cool completely together with refrigerate upwardly to three weeks or ladle when warm into prepared jars leaving 1/4 inch headspace together with procedure inwards a hot H2O canner for 10 minutes.
Yield: nigh five 8-oz jars.
