To practise this, I used my stand upwardly mixer amongst a wire whisk on medium high together with it gave me fine crumbs similar this, which is perfect. Put the crumbs into a nine ten xiii baking dish that has been sprayed amongst vegetable spray.
Level the crumbs out amongst your fingers together with thus pat them downward evenly. I used the bottom of a shine  measuring loving cup to tamp downward the crumbs, which produced a overnice apartment layer similar this:
Bake inward a preheated 350F oven for xv minutes.

While the cookie base of operations is baking, mix the next ingredients inward a microwave rubber bowl:

BUTTERSCOTCH TOPPING (my version)

2 tablespoons water
¼ teaspoon salt

Melt the higher upwardly ingredients inward the microwave, stirring every xxx seconds (my microwave took virtually 75 seconds). When the mixture is completely smooth, add 2 cups of coarsely chopped (and toasted) pecans.

After the cookie base of operations has baked for xv minutes, withdraw from the oven together with spread the butterscotch-pecan mixture over the overstep together with seat dorsum inward the oven for around other 8 minutes.

Cool completely earlier slicing.
Store inward lightly covered cookie jar.
