Ancestral Cranberry Sauce



Ingredients:
two cups fresh cranberries
3/4 loving cup sugar
i loving cup 100% cranberry juice
two tablespoons slivovitz
juice in addition to zest of 1/2 lemon

Directions:
Place the cranberries, juice, sugar, in addition to zest inwards a medium saucepan and, stirring occasionally, laid upwards for xx minutes over medium high estrus to trim down in addition to thicken. Remove from estrus in addition to stir inwards the slivovitz. Serve hot or cold.


My thoughts:
On the master copy Iron Chef, the judges seemed fond of either maxim something reminded them of their childhood or of their ancestors. This cranberry sauce alongside the dollop of slivovitz reminds us of our Eastern European roots only alongside a really American twist: cranberries!
