Pickled Asparagus Amongst Fennel

Ingredients:
five pounds asparagus, cutting into jounce sized pieces
1 large fennel bulb, thinly sliced
1 oz fresh dill, chopped
1 oz fennel fronds, chopped
iv cloves garlic
viii fresh bay leaves
iv 1/2 cups water
five cups white vinegar
1/3 loving cup pickling salt
iii teaspoons dark peppercorns
iii teaspoons dill seeds
iii teaspoons yellowish mustard seeds
iii teaspoons fennel seed

Directions:
Bring the water, vinegar together with common salt to a boil. Prep the lids/jars. Evenly carve upwards all of the spices, peppers together with garlic betwixt iv wide oral cavity 1 1/2 pint jars.


Add the asparagus together with fennel, leaving 1/4 inch headroom.

My thoughts:
I wasn't planning on pickling today simply I went to the shop together with they had beautiful, skinny asparagus for $1.29 together with I bought half-dozen pounds. I saved ane pound to consume directly together with canned the rest. I had about fennel leftover together with since ane of my favorite things inwards the the world is pickled fennel, I tossed that inwards too.
