Slow Cooker Chicken Ragu
Ingredients:
1 lb dry reason chicken
1 1/4 lb sweetness Italian turkey (or chicken) sausage, casings removed if necessary
1 onion, diced
three cloves garlic, minced
vi dark-green onions, diced
1 carrot, finely diced
1 stem celery, finely diced
1-2 tablespoon(s) hot crimson pepper flakes
two tablespoon Merlot vinegar
28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
fourteen oz canned diced burn downwards roasted tomatoes, drained
1/4 teaspoon fennel seed
ocean salt
freshly dry reason dark pepper
Directions:
Spray a nonstick skillet amongst cooking spray. Add the dry reason chicken, sausage, onion as well as garlic. Saute until the chicken as well as sausage is fully cooked but non browned, breaking upward whatever large pieces every bit you lot cook. Add to a 4 quart ho-hum cooker. Note: This makes a lot of sauce, plenty for 8 or more. I jazzed upward the leftovers yesteryear turning them into an easy pasta bake yesteryear adding cheese.
